Earlier in December, I was commissioned to make 4 memory bears for a very special lady. Her mother passed and wanted to use her clothes as the bears. The polyester fabric was less than desirable for making a bear, but me, being me, was determined to make it work. I wasn’t going to let her down! I backed each piece of fabric with cotton broadcloth to give the poly durability without stretching or tearing. It was perfect!

I immediately knew what I wanted to do with them to make these bears fun and fresh all while remembering her mom, forever. I am incredibly honored that humbled that I was able to transform her dresses into these adorable bears. Enjoy!
How long do these usually take?
Depends on how many…Each bear takes about 8 hours to make 🙂
