NEW Category! – Memory Items! Remember Me Gifts and Personal Items : Frederick, MD Sewing + Embroidery

I love when I have a need to create a new category! This time, I have created a new category based on items for loved ones that I’ve been requested to make, many times already this year.

It’s bittersweet for sure. In this category are my wonderfully wonderful custom bears made from your loved ones clothing pieces…joining them is a custom made Remember Me PILLOW CASE from your loved ones clothing pieces too!

But wait, there’s more to this story…I had never heard of these little guys until I made this recent Memory Pillow for a customer. My customer asked if I had ever made these before and of course, I hadn’t. She told me what she wanted and a saying for me to embroider on to it and these were born…CRYING HANKIES! Is that not the sweetest thing you’ve ever heard? These little handkerchiefs (well not too small…they are 12×12″) are made from any fabric you want to bring me. They can be adorned with lace or left “as-is” as to keep the integrity of the clothing piece it’s coming from.

There are so many things I can make from your loved ones items that are left behind when they pass on. Keep their memory alive by repurposing their textiles. I treat your articles with the utmost respect and every piece of the unused parts are returned to you after I’ve made your item.
