Mmmm Monday – Bacon, Spinach, & Swiss Quiche

OMG This looks HEAVENLY!! Another {beautiful} recipe from The Culinary Cafe!! Happy Monday!

Quiche is like a blank canvas, you can put just about anything in one! You can’t go wrong when you mix a bunch of everything with eggs and cheese and pour it into a pie crust! Here’s one take on quiche.

4 eggs, beaten

1 cup heavy cream

6 strips thick cut bacon, cooked and chopped

1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded

1/2 cup green onion, chopped

1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed of juices

Garlic salt & pepper to taste

1 Pillsbury pie crust, or be Superwoman and make you own

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl beat 4 eggs. Add in heavy cream, cheese, bacon, green onion, spinach, garlic salt and pepper. Pour mixture into pie plate lined with pie dough. Tent with aluminum foil (so the crust doesn’t cook too fast). Place in oven and bake for about an hour. If you need to you can remove the foil during the last 10 minutes, if crust isn’t as golden as you like it. This is scrum-diddly-umptous with a simple salad on the side.
