Paypal has run into some issues with their Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). If you have a zen cart (unsure if this is happening on WP E-commerce) then you will NOT see your orders in your admin area until PayPal fixes this issue.
Here’s how it usually works:
A customer places and order and your shop directs them to pay with Paypal (if you are set up for that).
The user completes the transaction via paypal and is taken back to your site (to download their purchases if they have them)
Paypal talks to your shop to let you know the user has paid and can receive their order. Herein lies the issue. Paypal is not talking back to your shop and therefore doesn’t recognize you have an order.
What you can do temporarily is to disable paypal checkout.
Go to your admin area of your cart
Under Modules, select Payment
Click on Paypal and Edit
Select FALSE (do not remove it) to temporarily disable paypal
Then click CHECK/MONEY ORDER => INSTALL
Drop down ORDER STATUS and select PENDING
Fill in the MAKE PAYABLE TO with SEND PAYPAL PAYMENT TO (YOUR PP EMAIL)
Save and return to your admin.
Once a user makes a purchase, the purchase will show up in your admin area, but will not be released until you receive payment AND manually release the purchase.
To release a purchase:
Go to your Admin
Click on the name of the New Order on the right column
On the right where it says product ordered click EDIT
Scroll all the way down to the bottom where the drop down box is and select “DELIVERED”
Check “Notify Customer” and “Append Comments” also
